Mitsui & Co. Plant Systems, Ltd. (MPS) was established in April 2007. Our business is to provide plant,
facilities, equipment and spare parts for the infrastructure sector, such as electric utility and railway
companies, and the basic industrial sector, such as steel manufacturing and petrochemical companies.
MPS was formed through the merger of four subsidiaries of Mitsui & Co., Ltd., each of which had its
own long history and extensive experience in its own respective field of business, stretching back for
over 40 years in the longest case.
Our business domain covers fundamental and indispensable industrial sectors that play vital roles in
the socioeconomic development of the country. We are making every effort to contribute to the
continuing growth of the country and its industry through the services we provide, and provide such
services with a strong resolve and passion for success.
We offer a variety of product and service lines, which include the supply and maintenance of plant
and equipment for thermal, hydraulic, and nuclear power generation, transmission, transformation and
distribution equipment; railway vehicles, monorail systems and track maintenance machines; plant and
equipment for the petrochemical and steel industries; port equipment, water-treatment systems, energy
conservation and environmental protection equipment. We also provide various logistic services such
as transportation and installation, and in addition, services such as technical, financial (including
leasing) and maintenance services to comply with our customers' needs.
We offer total solutions by utilizing specialized expertise and consolidated strength.
We recognize the importance of being close to our customers and their business sites so as to sense
and grasp our customers' real needs and requirements accurately. We have staff stationed at more than
twenty branches and offices in and outside Japan, to strengthen our competence at business sites and
improve the quality of our services.
While providing specialized expertise to meet customers' needs in each industrial area, we strive to create
